But really, why do I have to work out?

First of all. YOU DON’T HAVE TO. Working out is not for everyone. Running, lifting weights, devoting yourself to the commitment required by cross fit and following the trends (sometimes all at once!) cannot be done by anyone. AND THAT’S PERFECTLY FINE. Guys, each human being on planet earth is completely different. If you belong to the group of people who have signed up to a gym and dropped out numerous times or prefer your comfy couch and pajamas than a workout, I get you.Nature calls for easy and sustainable habits. Not for burning, sweating and tearing your muscle fibers. At the same time though, nature calls for physical movement, bursting out, and muscle system activation in order to be and feel healthy.

I’m not here to tell you to work out. No no NO. I’m here to remind you that there definitely is a movement or exercise style which is right for your body and compatible with your mentality and lifestyle. It might be a casual walk in the park while you catch up with your best friend on the phone, or a quick swim where you just dive in and out the sea and explore its bottom to find a stone or two. At least, it’s something. So, really, why do that something?


It’s all about your soul

A healthy mind lives in a healthy body. It’s as simple as that. One of the fundamentals of psychology and philosophy is that exercise leads to a better communication of the body, the mind, and the soul. Blood circulates carrying oxygen that positively feeds your brain and helps you think clearly, all the while lowering your stress and anxiety levels.

Tip: Ten minutes of daily meditation are enough to give you a clear head. 

Sky-high energy 

Want to feel pumped up and ready to take over the world? Give your endorphins a boost and get rid of those mean toxins that keep you on a low energy level and enjoy that post-workout high that lasts all day long.

Tip: 30’ of running are enough to get you on a happy trip.

Burn dat fat

You won’t look good in that bikini unless you work up your metabolism and give your cardio a run for its money, melting those fat cells away. And that’s the nitty-gritty of it.

Tip: Use your body weight or do some resistance training and the calories will be burning up even 24 hours post workout. Yes, even when you sleep. Yes, even when you are sneaking in that third piece of pizza.

No random “ugh that hurts” in stupid daily movements

Did you know that fit people are less prone to accidents? Your body posture and your muscle tone create a shield against all those small, baby traumas that happen daily. To others, that is. Cause you are Wonder Woman.

Tip: Get that yoga mat you have been craving and start building that lean, flexible and toned body that will get you through almost everything.

Better You

Take a look in the mirror. When the person staring back is fit, the smile on your face is inevitable. Not only because you like what you see but because you know you are looking at someone who is on a path to do better, faster, more. A winner, baby.

Tip: Give yourself small challenges to overcome every time you work out. Start with baby steps and pretty soon you’ll be on top of your game!

Guys being healthy is SO subjective. Be healthy your own way, work out the way you feel good with, eat what you feel feeds your soul. There is one rule, though: whatever you do, you better love it, girl!
