We’re soooo over basic bronze, this is the summer of the ‘rosy tan’.
Just picture the pink, sun-kissed cheeks on those lovely surfer girls in L.A. That shiny happy look that cannot be created by anything else but the sun. Or can it? If you stick to just a lovely blush on the cheeks, you got yourself a suntanned healthy glow! Easy, right? Try not to confuse this hot new trend with the terracotta powders our moms have been using for ages. This summer, it’s all about the rosy tan. The rush of blood around our face, not because of a bronzing session in the sun, but because of high temperatures. Yes, the one you get right after the gym, only narrowed down to your cheekbones. A little touch of health!
To create the ideal blushed look, all you have to do is mix some blusher with your bronzer. Start by hydrating your skin with a simple cream, or a light BB that will even out your skin tone. Use circular motions with a sponge, if you are dealing with a creamy formula or a brush, if your product has a powdery form. In any case, make sure to apply color to your bones, so as to give your face that summery feel. Go ahead and use some nude lip gloss on your lips and a stroke of waterproof mascara if you want!

- If you use a powder makeup, then your blush should be a powder too. Match your creamy blush only with a basic or a BB cream, or a liquid foundation.
- Love it too much? Stick to the trend at night by using a glittery pink blush that will add that extra shine!
- If you are up for experimentation, use the trend together with the super hot glass-skin trend of the season! Hydrate your skin and then apply a primer (make sure it isn’t matte) and a glowy foundation that you will gently erase around the face. If you have oily spots, powder with caution. Remember, you want a wet look! Use a liquid highlighter for the glass effect on your cheekbones and complete with your pink blush.
Ready as you’ll ever be!
